One-Step Pound Cake Three Rivers Cookbook II Cake 2¼ cups flour 2 cups sugar ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 8-oz. carton pineapple yogurt or 1 cup sour cream 3 large eggs 1 Tbsp. lemon peel, grated, or 2 - 3 Tbsp. poppy seeds 1 cup margarine Combine cake ingredients in a bowl and beat at low speed for 3 minutes. Bake in greased and floured 12 cup tube pan at 325o for 60 - 70 minutes. Cool. Glaze 1 cup powdered sugar 3 Tbsp. lemon juice Combine powdered sugar with lemon juice. Glaze cake when cool. |
