Butterscotch Ice Box Cookies

Yield: 6 dozen

2 eggs
2 cups light brown sugar
¾ cup melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
3½ cups cake flour
6 tsp. Davis baking powder
½ tsp. salt

Beat eggs well and pour them into a large bowl. Add sugar; then stir in well the cooled, melted butter, vanilla and chopped nuts. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt and sift into the egg mixture - 1 cup at a time, stirring in well. Knead in the last cup. Now form the dough into a long roll about 2" thick and place in refrigerator over night. Cut the dough in thin even slices and bake on greased cooky sheets in a moderate oven (375o) for 10 minutes.
