Spiced Fresh Blueberry Compote

Yield: 4 servings

1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 stick whole cinnamon
3 whole cloves
dash of salt
1 pint of fresh blueberries

Boil first 6 ingredients together, 3 - 4 minutes, in a small saucepan. Remove spices. Cool. Pour over washed blueberries. Chill 3 - 4 hours. Serve in sherbet glasses.
