Formage Fort Democrat & Chronicle A good use of leftover wine and cheese is to make the French cheese spread called "Fromage Fort". Just drop a couple cloves of garlic in a food processor and add leftover cheese cut up into chuncks. Blend Them together and then slowly drizzle in left over wine while the processor is running. The amount will determmine the consistency. You can also add fresh herbs - thyme, oregano, rosemary. Use the spread on thin slices of baguette. It can be refrigerated and kept for up to a week. |
