Turnip Mash

1 rutabega, peeled and cut into chunks
3 big carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
¼ cup butter
¼ cup brown sugar
Salt and pepper, maybe some chipotle pepper if you want it hot

Boil the chunks till the rutabaga is soft enough to mash - it takes a long time, maybe half an hour. Drain and mash with the remaining ingredients. For this an immersion blender will be useful. Serve warmed through.

The one anomaly you may have noticed is that this is a turnip recipe without turnips. Whatever the name, it comes highly recommended.
