Asako's Tempura Vegetables including but not limited to summer squash, mushrooms,green beans, onions, broccoli, potatoes ⅓ cup flour 1 tsp. baking powder ⅔ cup cold water 2 ice cubes (Ice cubes help to make the coating crisp.) Cut up the vegetables in thin uniform slices (within each type). Mix together the remaining ingredients loosely - the batter should be lumpy and made just before you want to use it. Heat oil to 340o to 360o. Fry a few pieces at a time, maintaining the oil temperature within that range. Asako recommends this dipping sauce This dipping sauce can be used to make Yaki-Onigiri.
